TITLE: Customer Support Engineer--Wonderware
REPORTS TO: GCS APAC Manager
Basic Functions:
The primary goal of the Customer Support Engineer is to ensure that both internal and external customers in APAC region are receiving qualified and effective technical support. The work that the customer support engineer performs will initially be non-customer facing (backline), and may become customer-facing (frontline) depending on the location and skill-set of the team.
Backline\" functions include:
Problem duplication and root cause determination;
Qualification of new products or fixes released from Development or Manufacturing;
Analysis of system administration and diagnostic data collected internally or at customer sites, and preparation of technical reports, evaluations, and recommendations based on that data
Preparation of recommendations to Development based on defect/failure trend analysis
Detailed Responsibilities
Ensure high customer satisfaction by handling incoming technical calls and emails from customers in an effective, professional manner
Liaison with R & D organization to facilitate resolution of technical issues
Contribute to the product design and improvement which is led by R & D with rich experience of resolving customer\'s technical issues
Ensure that technical knowledge and good resolution experience transfer documentation by contributing FAQs or technical paper to knowledge database
Build some training or forum for our distributors and customers
May include management of labs or lab equipment
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in automation, or electric field
Minimum of3 years HMI/Scada technical support or project delivery experience
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Proven English written and verbal communication skills
Up to15% travel, including international destinations
Prior Customer Support / Call Center experience is a plus
Experience with factory automation / controls industry, particularly Wonderware products
